Athene 24th of July Update
Nexusflow did something unusual: the model they released on the 19th of July was a "Preview," and updated weights were uploaded on the 24th in this commit. Their old repo does not appear as "updated" but the commit is fresh.
They also made a new repository, Athene-70B-Preview, where they uploaded the outdated weights. This retroactive name change and storing old weights in a new repo and new weights in an old repo is pretty confusing.
I would suggest changing the name of this repository to Athene-70B-Preview-IMat-GGUF
, linking to Nexusflow/Athene-70B-Preview
in the Model Card, and uploading quants of the new model, if there will be any, to a new repository named Athene-70B-IMat-GGUF
.
I will post the same message in the bartowski repo, which is also outdated.
Thanks for the heads up!
For now, I will create a branch for the old quants, and re-quant the updated model, with a note in the readme of the old quants.
I fear that if I rename this repo Athene-70B-IMat-GGUF -> Athene-Preview-70B-IMat-GGUF, I will not be able to create a new Athene-70B-IMat-GGUF with the new quants, as the old repo would hold the redirect.
It might take a while tho', as I'm currently re-quanting llama 3.1 70B
Done re-quanting the repo, and added in the readme where to find Athene-70B-Preview quants.
Thanks again for the heads up
