+The Language and Voice Laboratory was founded in 2016 at [Reykjavik University](https://www.ru.is/) as a part of [CADIA](http://cadia.ru.is/) to bring in an emphasis on processing speech and language. The research is focused on finding the right patterns to understand how speech is created and propagated, and how to process, interpret, and understand the language. Our goal is to deepen theoretical knowledge and to develop technologies that enable a natural communication between humans and computers.
